How is the product different from other BI/Reporting tools ?

In at least three important ways:

1) You can install and be productive with our product in minutes without a big effort from the Technology/IT department

2) It is intuitive and easy to learn – even if you aren’t a data or tech guru

3) It has the functionality you use everyday already built-in to every dataset

What are some of the typical use cases ?

While there are many practical uses of the product, we have 3 fundamental use cases that can be applied to any industry and any data set:

1) Detailed Data View: When you need to see the details of every record, our Grid view is the answer.  You can select the data you want to view and then with one-click, sort, filter, or rearrange your data the way you want to see it.  Since everyone has their own data needs, we allow each person to customize their own view, all based off the master source of data.

2) Pivot View: When you need an aggregated view of data (by department, product, manager, region, date, etc.), you’re going to want to use our pivot view.  Like the grid view, you can easily customize your view (filter, sort, etc.), but the pivot automatically aggregates all data based on the combination of attributes you select.  You can drag-and-drop any collection of attributes on the report to ensure you show the data you need 

3) Reconciliation View: This view combines both the Grid view and Pivot view and provides a really powerful ability to compare datasets and find differences in any column you select.  It also measures the accuracy of the comparison so you get immediate feedback on your reconciliation.

What do I need to get started ?

You need to connect to your data (files or databases):

1) FILES: You can upload data from Excel, any comma-separated values (csv) file, or any JSON/XML data set.  
2) You can log into any database if you have the connection string (server/instance name, user & password).  If you don’t have a connection, you will need to ask for this from the system administrator.

Where ever your data lives, we will help you get to it. 

How many rows of data can I view ?

Millions.  We leverage the power and memory of your desktop to enable high volumes of data to be viewed.  And even if your enterprise database has billions of records, you can always filter the data you want to process, typically by date range or specified attribute values.  

If there is a concern that too much data might be returned, we offer two solutions:

1) We can add a customizable row count limit on any data set so you don’t return too many records

2) We can mandate a field have a criteria such as a date field, so you have to limit the data to a range of values.
